Digital recording

Does anybody what the cheapest digital recorder out there would be? I just want something that would allow me to whip up a few mp3's of myself playing. It doesnt hafta be the most complex or anything.

Could somebody help me out with product recomendations ?

Have a look at the Zoom stuff. Cheap and not too bad. Boss also has a few cheaper units like the BR-8, check out my song "Heavenvein" it was recorded on one of those...

I'm thinking of buying br 8 as well. Zoom's stuff is not so good. Cheap, but not really worth the money. I guess it's better to give 150% of the money and get something really good, aka BOSS.

The BR-8 is a discontinued model so you can get those pretty cheap off of ebay. $300-350 or so. And they're not bad units. I use one myself and am very happy with it. And I'll keep using it until I learn enough to need something better. Otherwise the BR-532 is probably Boss's cheapest model.
