Dimebag Darrell

Listened to the "Floods" solo about 5 times today in his honor.

Still one of my all-time favorites.

Dimebag, without question, will go down in history as one of the greatest musicians of all time. Rightfully so. His combination of innovation, technique, and songwriting is on par with the greatest in history. He is still missed.

Cheers to his former bandmates for not getting Pantera back together. Pantera without Dime is not Pantera.

it's 4:17 in the morning here in england. If i'm not mistaken the usa is 6 hours behind us, which means that's it's around 8 years to the exact minute.

I know I already posted in this thread, but if it wasn't for this motherfucker, i'd be playing nirvana rhythms and soloing like kirk hammett and without meaning to sound cliche'd, words genuinely cannot describe how much of an impact Pantera have had on me. Thank you for everything Dime, whether it's inspiration, a pick me up with your optimistic attitude, or your music carrying me through my highest highs and lowest lows, thank you.

Save me a cold one when I get up there.

I bought CFH on cassette back in 91, sat in my room with my crappy boom box listening to the first riff trying to figure that shit out for WEEKS. I wasn't much of a fan of the later records except for a few songs but Dime will always be an innovator for extreme metal guitar in my eyes.
