anyone noticed that most fat drummers are awesome, case in point, Gene Hoglan, Nick Barker, Vinnie Paul (he's just thick, not really fat).

and also, Nick Barker has massive amounts of talent, yes he does lots of blast beats and double kicks but in his COF days his playing was a lot more technical and inventive, dimmu probably just preferred blasts and double kicks. as for his work in Lock-Up, that was meant to be blasting all the way through, their first album was made in three days for fucks sake, it was never intended to be a masterpiece, more grind than anything else.

i'm interested as to who Dimmu will get to play for them.

Also, hands up who hates Nick Barker but likes Anaal Nathrakh(sp?)....

I think it is quite lame... Barker was perfect for Dimmu... I can't predict who will replace him but they will be hard pressed to find someone who fits their newer style well
