Dio to perform with Iommi, Butler, Ward?

Sure, they may not be able to use the name BLACK SABBATH, but you know darn well that Sharon will make sure that the only US dates they play would be OZZFEST.

Damn...I guess Don Henley couldn't get hell to freeze over...looks like Ronnie might accomplish that feat...ha!

Also, I can't imagine Ronnie "working" for Sharon (and Ozzy) on the Ozzfest tour...

Very interesting...even if there's a shred of truth to it, there's a lot of ground to cross before it actually happens...

Would be fucking cool to see, though, eh?

Rock on!

I am interested in this "reunion" since the record Heaven & Hell is my favorite by Black Sabbath

This is a ProgPower forum. I'm sure a lot would agree with Dio.

I'd love to see this live. At PP would be the most likely place that I could see it live. But is it realistic? I have no idea.

After Glenn tried to get Dio for solo stuff last year, I have to believe that he'd be interested in this too.

We all know this is likey to happen outside of the U.S.A. but if it does we are truly talking METAL HISTORY. Ranks in the top 10. Judas Priest reuniting with Rob Halford is still #1.:worship: :Shedevil:

Is it much different than when Ozzy hooked back up with Black Sabbath. About as big in Sabbath history to me....

Who would have thought that a Conception reunion would have taken place in Atlanta, Georgia? They never played the USA before the PP VI gig. Sabbath is obviously a different animal, but given Dio's appeal (and he is a US citizen), along with the Sabbath history, I can't imagine a US tour being successful if carefully planned (i.e. the right markets).

It certainly makes financial sense for the tour to happen. Both camps are going to make more money playing together than they would alone. And it always comes down to money. After Wendi Dio flatly denied any reunion remors earlier this year, it's suprising to hear this, but again it's just another rumor for now. But at least I think Dio getting back together with Sabbath is a lot more likely that Midnight getting back with Crimson Glory for a tour.
