Well, to be honest I wanted to add the Blackmore, archon, krank and 5150 as well but unfortunately tripped over the mic stand and moved the mic a few millimeters.
Thought it wouldn't make as much sense to compare when the miking position is a tiny bit different.

And on top of that I got lazy, lol...maybe I'll add some more at some point

I wanna give a double bump to this thread, because I have been looking for ages for such a comparison done. For practicity purposes (comparing amps) i would have put zero delay between the start of the video and the actual sound (to not spend 5 or 10s in between clips) although it's a minor workaround to simply load both videos.
Just out of curiosity, did you set all knobs to 12o clock or did you use common sense to reach similar distortion and frequency levels ?

Tried to showcase the sound of the amp, so distortion levels vary a bit of course

I am suprised how little the differences are.
Makes me believe that I could eq 95% of the differences away (maybe not manually but with match-eq for sure)

Hehe that's so true. With almost all those tones, the point gets across well enough to the listener with all that high gain. Very cool to hear them all lined up, thanks to the OP.

next up is my beloved Driftwood Amplifiers Purple Nightmare.
This one is with the "sizzle switch" in "most sizzle" position
(it's got three settings, stock is Diezel like smooth presence, A is "more sizzle" and B is "full 5150 type sizzle".
