Continuing my campaign to convert you to Swanoism...
He's a bug Marillion fan.

I love VNV Nation, and Wumpscut, and Covenant. Funker Vogt and Decoded Feedback are pretty good too. Hocico's pretty new to me, but I saw them live in December and they were really good. I got a short interview with the vocalist too, but my tape screwed up and it didn't turn out.

*ducks in with Trapped and starts the construction of the bomb shelter*

Incubus are very cool.... At least S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and most parts of Make Yourself.

You should not be ashamed of owning them, they are much more original and has twice the talent than the other Neo - Grunge, Rapcore bands out there.. (Limp BisqSHIT, Linkin' Park etc.)

Furthermore, it's a plessure listening to Brandon Boyd's vocal alongside with that groovy sound....

Who the fuck told you Incubus isn't cool???

:OMG: Now this is giving a few more points to Swanö's final score...! Do you know if he ever did a cover of one of Marillion's songs ? I'd be more than pleased ! Not many bands or artists in
the metal scene like/know Marillion, well none that I know of anyway.

VNV Nation are amazing ; I had the pleasure of seeing them live in Montreal last november (one of my very good friend made them come here (!) ; as a result, after the wonderful time they had in here and with him, they offered him to come with them in the US until the end of the tour... so my friend was one of their techies in the rest of the shows, including the NYC one !), and it was one of the best shows I've seen. Ronan the singer has such power and energy... I was sober that night and I felt like I was on extasy.

Wumpscut is neat, especially "Soilent Green" and "Hang Him Higher". I never had the chance to hear all their material though. Covenant I know of reputation and I probably heard a few songs in the bar I love over here, but I wouldn't recognize them per se.

 Hocico is great ;) i haven't heard VNV Nation too much but i like it nonetheless :D

hmm.. i'm not ashamed of any bands/CDs i like/own either but sometimes i get laughed at for:
-Björk (i have all the official releases, a vinyl, some bootlegs & a video ;) )
-The Sugarcubes
-Tricky
-Current 93 ( )
-Antony & The Johnsons (most people only see a bunch of gays, drag queens & hermaphrodites  )
-DHG/Dødheimsgard (i like the latest album more than the older works)
-Ulver ( )
-Diablerie (the album may suck but the demo is pretty good)
-all the elektro/ambient/goth/industrial/trip-hop/whatever non-metal bands i like

Greetings.

@Astarte : Glad to know you like those bands ; too many people have prejudices against them, but ultimately, they rock :) BTW, are the spanish lyrics of Hocico any good, or are they crap ? Also, can you write me (once again, I'm sorry) your three favorite Current 93 albums ? Let's say the best with a story being told, and two more musically oriented ? I'll come back to you about this, because NOW I can finally download some stuff :)

If you want a very good VNV album, take Empires. It's awesome.

I'm also partial to the TF soundtrack..being a child of the 80's and all...even spent over $100 buy 3 extended versions with all the Dicola outtakes lets not forget the fucking piano only versions...SO SUE ME!

Hehe.... Def Leppard sucks... BIG TIME... Not metal now. Never has been. 80'ties rock with a pathetic feel to it.
Now, isn't Bon Jovi the name of the band? Solo career? He's been playing with the same guys always hasn't he?
Transformers Soundtrack... dude... I have bought the DVD....

TRANSFORMERS TRANSFORM.....!!!!!

Def Leppard rock too.... especially "Gods of War"... great stuff

as for Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is the band....
Jon Bon Jovi is the solo stuff.. and im sure you've heard "Blaze of Glory"... that is from a solo project ("Young Guns Soundtrack")... and he has 1 more recent solo project (is it called "destination anywhere"? i cant remember)
his real name however is something weird like Jon Bonjiovi... or something like that.. kinda odd..

@Jayde

Yes i'm a korn fan! still love their stuff...i can't believe that most korn fans hate issues its more mature album i think its my fav of their at the moment. the dark sound and the melodies i just love it! fav songs are falling away from me,trash, somebody, someone those are the 3 best songs but i love them all except the small songs inbetween most of all songs like 4u and that was a stupid idea anyhow great band!
