Anyway I have a few friends in Somerset, one I trade CD's with every once in awhile.

Who are your friends? Maybe I know them or something. It's a shot in the dark though since I don't really know too many metal people around here.

Not a big underground Death Metal fan eh?
Anyway these are actually pretty popular Death Metal bands... at least 3 of them were to my knowledge... Then again I tend to speak to extremely undergorund peoples also... i'm not sure how deep you guys go into it here yet.

I've only heard Devourment, I had their SHITTY demo. Two songs, sounded like it was recorded in a rotting hippo's ass cavity, songs with no identity from eahc other, much less any other band, and they sold it for $6.00. 
Funny thing is, everyone I know who heard it ate it up...that was years ago, about the time I lost interest in what has become new school death metal. I like older school and more progressive/heavy metal oriented death metal bands, and there arent a whole hell of alot of those around worth listening to these days...as such I've become pretty out of touch with the Death Metal "scene". BUT I do know Devourment. I honestly didn't know they were still an active band...

Give it a chance, I bet you there's so many more bands you don't know about out there.... There's just way too many metal bands to keep track of nowadays... My friend has about 8,000+ CD's and still constantly needs to get more... it's sickeningly amazing.

yeah I know there are excellent metal bands that I have never heard
but I don't have time nor money to listen to it
I just buy the entire discography of the bands I really like
with bands like the haunted and ATG is easy,but Death,Immortal,Cannibal Corpse and Blind Guardian gets expensive

Got any links to any sites where i can d/l some stuff? I can hardly find anything on WinMX for Devourment, the others would be damn near impossible.
Lust of Decay - "Infesting The Exhumed" owns. Wonderfully brutal death metal at its finest
Agiel - pretty good dark death metal. one of the better bands on Unique Leader
Devourment - decent sick, guttural death/grind. their songs don't really stick out from one another, though, so i rarely listen to them anymore.
The other 2 i've heard of, but never got around to checking them out.

Agiel is fucking good, we're agreed on opinion on them
Devourment, i haven't gotten around to getting their CD, so I wouldn't know of their redundancy.
Also SotS, sorry but I know little MP3 sites, I don't DL much. I usually get burned CD's from people who have them and shit, but only one or two tracks of each band, like a mix.
