Discussion on the new Album:"Stand up and Fight"

That one yes, not like it is unlistenable but i caught myself thinking this is mayby a bit over the top when i heard it for the first time @ rytmis.

you should have seen my face when I heard the song first.
I nearly fell off the chair I was sitting on, had eyes wide open and being as big as plates, me wondering "what the hell is THAT?" but once that thought disappered I actually started to love the song...plus I love it as a live-song...

Yeah, Hunting Pirates is so awesome!! I heard it too in rytmikorjaamo and it sounded so new and great!

I think calling it "fresh" would suit pretty much, at least for my taste...and I think the songs are live better than on CD even though the CD is also really good, but I am just a live-gig-person who mostly prefers live-versions *laughing*

Yeah, it sounded even better in live, cant wait the album :D
All 5 songs what I've heard from ''Stand Up And Fight'' have sounded so epic and great..like Turisas!

what about emailing them and asking?
No seriously, I don´t know and I think the band doesn´t know details either, and I don´t think the management would like to tell you XD So the only thing left is asking the radio station themselves...

this live video fo Hunting Pirates really rapes my ears, sorry.
In real "live environment", as on CD, it sounds million times better.

Sorry, it's the best bootleg I could find - you should hear the ones that were worse. Next time, we should convince these bootleggers to carry professional grade recording studio equipment into the show venues ;)

cheers,
wm_crash, the friendly hooligan

i know that those are the best ones...i always check bootlegs of the gigs I attended...
but seriously, waiting is worth the whole, because this is a whole different world of sound then XD

I'm still wondering if Hunting Pirates is a serious song, or just a funny/joke song in between :p

good question, wondered actually the same...
i think in between.
at least for me it´s "just" a fun-song. kinda.

Yeah I think it's a nice funny song also
Though I think this will be a gréat party song during a live show!! :)

Turisas... Party song.. live.. I start to think about Sahti-Waari :D but this is going to be great party song at live! But when i heard Hunting Pirates first time (at live) I was so suprised by good way and wanted to sing along, but i didnt know the lyrics.
(((Sorry my bad English)))

My apologies to non-Finns, because I'm once again posting a link that works only in Finland.
Kaarle ja Erno raskaana: http://areena.yle.fi/audio/1667911 (Expires on the 10th.)
0.29.20 -> Mathias's interview, Stand Up And Fight, interview continues, End Of An Empire.

Thanx for the link!

They played End of an Empire in the clip, wich i hadn't heard before. It sounded a bit like somekind of musical in my ears, (was it that he meant by LLoyd Webber-parts?) a pretty heavy and epic one though.
It didn't really correspond to my imaginated picture of the song, as i thought i would be a more aggressive piece to portray a crumbeling giants last breath. Quite progressive parts aswell.

While some of you are lucky enough to live in Finland and thus have heard some more songs, the rest can now get excited with the 30 second samples from amazon:

Sure, some of these samples hardly say anything because of the weird sections they choose but it's better than nothing.
Only a couple of weeks left. I'm sure I'll manage.
