Diversity is the spice of life....

My kinda thread!!
In rotation today:

Unruly Child - Worlds Collide
Leverage - Blind Fire
Rush - Hold Your Fire
Rob Moratti - Victory
White Lion - Pride
Shark Island - Law of the Order
Tyketto - Don't Come Easy
Pretty Maids - Pandemonium
Lillian Axe - Poetic Justice
Lizzy Borden - Visual Lies

Justin - how is that Fergie Frederickson disc? I'm on the fence about purchasing it.

Now that's my kind of playlist! The Frederiksen disc is great if you like that ultra-polished, ultra-wimpy Frontiers AOR. Not much rocking going on, but if you dig Survivor and Toto you'll probably love it. Same with the new Kimball-Jamison and Mecca discs.

EDIT - The new Frederiksen is way better than Equilibrium, for whatever that's worth.

Lizzy Borden - Visual Lies

Great album! LB doesn't get nearly enough attention, IMO.

In my player (and most of these albums have been in my player since ProgPower):
Edguy - Age of the Joker
Falconer - Armod
Seventh Wonder - The Great Escape
Serenity - Death & Legacy
Delain - April Rain
Starlight Express original cast recording

The Sign - Signs Of Life
Within Temptation - An Acoustic Night At The Theatre
Frequency - Compassion Denied
House Of Lords - Demons Down
Keel - Streets Of Rock N Roll
Cloven Hoof - A Sultan's Ransom
Pandemonium - Heavy Metal Soldiers
Kingdom Come - Rendered Waters

Mercenary - Metamorphosis
Ringworm - Scars
Integrity - Thee DestroyORR
Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise
Jawbreaker - Dear You
Embrace - Embrace (DC band)
Witchery - Restless & Dead

Justin.....yup. I'm all about the Frontiers catalogue - I love "METAL" as much as the next guy or gal, but I'm also a huge softie for the AOR/melodic rock scene as well!!

I just ordered The Magnificent and the Fergie Frederikson discs.......look forward to hearing them both.

The 'oddities list' today..

Clearlight - Forever Blowing Bubbles
Tron: Legacy OST Reconfigured
Death - Individual Thought Patterns (remaster)
Queensrÿche - The Warning
Blut Aus Nord - 777 Sect(s)
Wadada Leo Smith/Jack DeJohnette - America

Maybe I'm just a hopeless cynic, but that F&TM video seemed like a grab at a Kate Bush/Tori Amos vibe, but with neither the sophistication nor conviction. The female-fronted art rock landscape is such a wasteland. Somewhere Tracy Hitchings is kicking back with quiet satisfaction that despite only modest acclaim, she did it better than 99.9% of the others.

Err, in the spirit of not hijacking the thread completely....

Fates Warning - Parallels
Warrant - Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich
Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy
TSO - Beethoven's Last Night
JS Bach - Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 4, 5, and 6
