I have started my next one. A 7 string strat, tonepro TOM Seymour Duncan JB pup.

Dude, post up the "making of" photos showing progress of the build. I LOVE those types of threads.

And, it's a beautiful guitar! I love natural finisheses!

Nice guitar! Nice finish, how does it sound?
Is the top carved? Doesn't look like it, maybe that's something to try out the next time. I made a telecaster myself a while ago and I carved a arm rest and a belly cut. It's not that difficult, just a lot of measuring, carving some more, measuring, etc.

Thanks guys.
The back does have a belly carve for comfort. The top is flat as i prefer les pauls that way (well most guitars tbh).

I didnt do a making of doc. but here is a few pics from along the way. As you can see its a full build. Not kits or premade parts.

On the sound... Well the pickup isnt great, but is sounds ok. Plays real nice. As its for my 13 year old son, who has been playing a few months. I didnt go top quality on the parts.

Not bad!
I did this one some year ago (my first build):

And this one a couple of years ago (I've buyed the fretboard with the inlays):

Nice builds. Like the finish on that first one. And the headstock on the seconds is great. Some really nice work there.
