I'm making some patch bays for our live setup and I'm a bit concerned about foh acceidentally switching on or leaving 48v on. From what I remember, there's a simple circuit you can build with some caps and resistors to block 48v. Can anyone give any insight in this? I need to do about 16 channels.

A simple capacitor in both the hot and neutral signals is all that is needed. Realistically a transformer would be better but that would get expensive fast.
Exactly why I don't want to go with transformers...
Does it matter what size capacity they are?
