I saw Tesseract open for Devin Townsend last night. Man, can that guy sing. I dig the style, but it's not hard to see why such a band will have a large group of vocal detractors.

I can only dream of how this genre was thought up. Overly poppy singing and a terrible attempt at being pseudo-intellectual. Oh, I love Killswitch Engage, and I love Meshuggah, but can only play one Meshuggah riff. Let's mix Killswitch Engage vocals with the one Meshuggah riff, no one will notice that we never change it up, or that we are most definately not technical.
