Doompiper, yes this probably stems from me sniffing books since I was a young child. There is something about the smell of old library books that gives me an intellectual boner.

My two dreamjobs are being a librarian or a museum curator. I would take either over a writing gig in music, or being a rockstar even (mostly because I don't like the idea of anything I have to do with music being a "job" and being exposed to possibility of becoming a chore).

I've done library jobs over the summer, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as a full-time occupation...

I don't recommend it as a full-time occupation either. I prefer library technology.
BTW: we only get the new books where I work. I like the smells but they're not sexually arousing. I can't say the same for some of the books we get...
