THey were an 80's thrash metal band like old metalicca, anthrax, megadeth, you know the routine, actually were pretty good only released like two albums , one of them was given to me by a trash man who found that and Iron maidens piece of mind in the trash .

Hell yeah! They are from my town, seen them live a bunch of times. If I remember right Bryant is also a fan of Wrathchild. After their 2 albums for Atlantic Records they changed their name to Souls At Zero and had 3 releases on Energy Records in the early 90's. Shannon Larkin (drums) went on to play in Ugly Kid Joe, Amen, Snott and is now in God Smack. The first Wrathchild album was delayed because of a dispute over the band name with the UK band of the same name, that's why the added America to the name. If not for that delay I think they would have been bigger. Plus I think Pantera ripped off their sound after touring with them..... Just bad timing over all for them. Too bad, because they were a killer band.

I only know Wrathchild from England. I had their Stakk Attakk album on picture vinyl. Awesome hair! :headbang: Might add them to my Best hair thread hahaha!

Hahahaha... YOU would know that Wrathchild you glam bastard. :) That's the band the American Wrathchild was in court with over the name.

As Greeno said I am a big fan of Wrathchild America. Along with Powermad, those two were probably the most underrated thrash/speed bands of their era. The Souls at Zero is pretty good too, but they changed their style a bit with the name change.

Wow dude thats fukin cool! I have had "Climbin the walls" for years its a brilliant album I used to like to get drunk and Sing "No Deposit, No Return" as loud as possible and their cover of "Time" is a Masterpeice in its own right

I played in a punk band called "KIddie Porn" with Shannon, the drummer from Wrathchild America.... this was of course long before they got signed.

I had no clue Shannon from Amen played in Wrathchild, I never even put the two names together. THat rocks. Man you guys are hard core 80's. You are all my new best friends cuss everyone i know makes fun of me for liking the 80's. Im only 21 and I didnt live through them like most of you guys did, I got into all the 80's bands in 92. I was 10, wow you guys rock thats all i gotta say. :worship:

Nice to have you here on the old school board "guy with the really long user name". :) If it's 80's metal you like you've found the right place. :)

Hey Plan13-- You need to talk to Shannon about getting those K.P. albums re-released on CD. I know you weren't on them but some of your songs were right? With songs titles like "Kill A Prep", "#1 Turd In The Shit Parade" and "Five Frozen Babies In My Frig" the cd's would sell like the tapes did..... about 20 copies. :D Just kidding, you know I'd be first in line to get them!

Im a hard core Inflames fan, but if i had never heard Master Of Puppets I never would of heard In flames also, just for shits, I FREAKIN LOVE GLAM ROCK. :headbang:

Powermad's Absolute Power is definitely one of the most underrated and underappreciated thrash albums of all time!!! Plastic Town and Final Frontier are my favorite songs on that album. On the Madness Begins ep...I like Hunter Seeker the best.
