Hey guys here is a short clip of something i am working on, i just need to know does this sound professional to you?

Guitars are pod farm, although i like the sound i am thinking about reamping

Any help would be great

Listened to it through some crappy headphones, I'm not a big fan of the guitars. I'm missing the attack, and it sounds too fizzy

thanks for taking a listen, yea i feel the guitars may be a tad too fizzy, i think i may reamp this with me peavey XXX and i feel like the bass needs to come up a little bit as well to give the whole thing more presence?

drums sound.... like a really cheap drum machine. guitars sound like they have been low passed at 6k...

other stuff sounds alright tho

drums are acoustica beatcraft but completely replaced with slate samples

guitars are low passed at 12k

Dude that kick is realy too overpowering ! It's like 2 times more powerful than the whole rest of the mix ! Also guitars seem a bit scooped or something, maybe it's the mastering which makes them aggressive

At which RMS level does your mix stand ?

Drums are horribly programmed sound like a drum machine. Work out the velocities to make it sound like a real drummer. The guitars have no low end, neither does the bass guitar its all MIDS. The "drowned in reverb guitar" is way too loud.

For DJENT - Kick and bass with some distortion guitar should be at the same level, then the guitar sits on top of that. Mix snare in to taste, reverb guitar should be below the main guitars as an ambient "flavor" Take whatever high pass filter you have on the guitar and get it down around 150hz, take the low pass and get it around 10k.

The bass seems to me the biggest problem, although honestly - I'm not into this kind of music. The velocities of the drums also need some work.

Alright guys thank you so much for your comments, i reamped the guitars through my peavey XXX and honestly i can't tell if i am making things worse or better.... i feel like i have hit that place where i am just fucked on this mix ya know lol.

So i tried to take your advice and mess with this some more I (I HAVE NOT FIXED DRUMS SO NO COMMENTS ON HOW SHITTY (velocity and programming wise) THEY SOUND)

I am especially worried about guitars so let me tell you what i have going on with them as i said reamped through peavey XXX marshall cab, sm 57 off axis, low pass 12k, high pass 100hz, EQ cuts -6db at 4k and -2db at 500hz then -1db at 250hz and i have a psp vintage warmer on the rhythm tracks
