I've been hearing a lot about the band Agalloch for quite some time, nearly bought their albums on several occasions spanning the past two years, but never did. Now that I've listened to several songs, I'm kicking myself for not buying it sooner. Whether or not you like Agalloch, has this ever happened to you concerning another band?

I'm disgusted with myself for being brain washed by metalhead elitist into not listening to Dimmu Borgir a few years ago. Last week when I found out Vortex was with them I gave em a chance, fuck being kvlt I like this band.

omg haggard to me is the worst band every conceived on planet earth and beyond.

Haggard is amazing and they are very great musicians. The compositions are quite good actually, being a little above and beyond standard metal and actually being classically trained. I disagree.

Actually, this happened to me with Nevermore, sort of. I heard Poison Godmachine and loved, it, bought Enemies of Reality, but didn't explore any further until TGE came out.
