Don't laugh

I'm in love with this snare. Incredible. Made my own gog by messing with the pitch slightly. Works so freakin great.

my only problem with riot is that i'd like to hear it a few db's quieter so those choruses would soar just a LITTLE bit more, but apart from that, that album sounds fucking GORGEOUS

you think riot sounds good just wait till Breaking Benjamin's new one the 29th. they posted a new single on their myspace. Bendeth is a badass.

haha, this is weird. I'm currently working on a mix test of Misery Business and we have spent ages trying to get the drums close to the original. So the urge now (even know the file isn't downloadable anymore) to change it to these but the idea of recording it was to see if we could get it to a professional level or as close to the original as possible. So if I actually used the samples it would be cheating. Still - bit of a coincidence.

Zac Farro is a beast, love his style it's fucking rad.

That snare has been on 3, possibly 4 of Bendeth's albums. It sounds very good but you have to blend it with another snare otherwise its just disgusting.

I used it mixed around 30-40% for the punch to cut thru the roominess on the snare of my rock project I posted about a week ago.

Bendeth's mixes would be SO much better if he didn't compress them so much. He said on the Underoath album he did 8db of compression on the masterbus, 3ms attack. Sure it resulted in that kewl pumping but it makes the whole mix so cloudy and middy and unclear and just ew.

Just checked this out, sounds pretty damn awesome. Song is pretty meh but the mix is flawless.

Slightly offtopic, does anyone know what bit rate Facebook is for its mp3s? Its sounding pretty low like Myspace's (96k I think) but I can't be sure its not the mixes.
