Don't laugh

Bendeth's mixes would be SO much better if he didn't compress them so much. He said on the Underoath album he did 8db of compression on the masterbus, 3ms attack. Sure it resulted in that kewl pumping but it makes the whole mix so cloudy and middy and unclear and just ew.

Yeah, I just bought the last Underoath and seriously... musically it's pretty good... but I'm hating the Master... it's so squashed it takes away the pleasure of listening to it :\

damn havent you got multi samples of these?

anyone got the Nu Myx songs and wanna rip some multi samples of the kick and snare please?

id buy this but its very rare and hard to come across

an example

you can solo the snare or kick and take is many samples as u want!
Ive done this with a few other bands using nu myx even as far
as taking the toms and hi hats at times.

or even better if someone can bloody show me where to by the nu myx version of the paramore album and ill buy it myself.

Wow, I don't agree with you guys at all... I feel the pumping on Underoath's latest to be great :D I love to listen to that pumping! It's so hard to get that kind of pumping too... so far, that is the only album I have LIKED the pumping on. There is bad pumping... which is what most over-compressed bands have, and then there is this awesome pumping which only a few have.

Oh no, I love the pumping on the cymbals. I just don;t like the other side-effects of the overcompression. I think a sidechain of the drums to the cymbals/oh/room mics works much better, gets a similar pumping effect without all the other nasty stuff.
