Wow, I don't agree with you guys at all... I feel the pumping on Underoath's latest to be great I love to listen to that pumping! It's so hard to get that kind of pumping too... so far, that is the only album I have LIKED the pumping on. There is bad pumping... which is what most over-compressed bands have, and then there is this awesome pumping which only a few have.

the breaking benjamin guys are solid guitar players though

as for that song off the twilight soundtrack, easily one of my favourite paramore songs, i adore that song with a fucking passion, shame about the ridiculously OTT clipping

and @ lost in the sound of seperation
i have had way too many conversations about that drum bus pumping with erkan and how fucking gorgeous it sounds
one of the best mixes in recent memory, i fucking swear, amazing music too, a damn fine album

A little birdie told me about this thread. Gotta clear some things up.
1.The sn and kik are cool from Paramore on the steal site, but what about the room and OH? Not easy to match it exactly.
Also you really do have to use a different snare as source as it gives you the right length and attitude for the track.

As far as UO goes there was no OH on the drive so that really sucked. Had to wing it.

Check out the new Cavo, Breaking Benjamin for some new snare sounds and also some new compression, I try not to slam the 2 buss too hard. more like 4-1 not 8-1, I think I only did that once and it sucked, no headroom.
