The amount of people on this board who have nothing interesting to say but nevertheless start one pointless thread after another is consistently going up. It's getting quite annoying (to say the least), because this used to be a board where people would come up with interesting threads and have intelligent, mature discussions. But over the last few weeks this forum has seen quite a few people who can't spell, can't express themselves properly and aren't even capable to read the FAQs or browse through the board before they write something. So they start the fifth thread about the sudden ending of "Omerta", the V.E. tray...Or about nothing in particular.

There's just no sense in trying to get the attention of these people cause they just don't care, i've seen it with my thread, you think about how to write a thread so that it exactly matches what you wanted to say and express, but almost no one answers or even looks at it.

Just be happy this hasn't turned into the Opeth Board yet. By the way, what is the point of this post? Do you think people will think to themselves " shit, you know what? he's right! we better straighten up guys." I doubt it. And anyway a new album just came out, there is going to be alot of traffic. So when you think about it, this is the most pointless thread of them all.

I agree..at least people in here are friendly and new posters feel welcome! Not saying that EVERYONE on the Opeth board is rude..because some are pretty cool..there's just those few who make you not want to post there..especially in the "chat off topic" board..

In all my capabilities of spelling, FUK U. The board is meant for posting,not nit-picking and obviously most of the people don't spend all day here so just stop complaining and don't read any of the five Omerta topics. The problem with most posters is the fact that they can't ignore topics like Omerta (nor could I this one,in this case...),you just HAVE TO get your opinion pointed out. Would it be better if there was no talk about Omerta or the tray,if everyone talked like they were english teachers and had all the qualities to become professors?

i doubt that he meant that. english isn`t everyone`s mother-tongue, but exactly those people who can`t really spell, prove to be posting absolutely useless threads.

and i`m not only thinking about the opeth board, the anathema one is proving to become the same. and yes, people here are friendlier on the long run, even though many of us don`t get attention almost at all.

and it would be really sexy if people would read at least the official board faq before posting.

of course he didn't mean that,I'm just making it extreme so he would get the point. I don't see why reading the faq would have to be done anyway,all you need is common sense. Then again yeah,for those who don't have it,should do it.
Plus I don't think that there's anything wrong with the Opeth board,other than the fact that the threads go down way too fast,but at least that's better than the Dark Tranquillity board which has a new thread once a week. Did I not clearly talk about khayman's comment about people not giving some of you attention? If people don't happen to give attention to your comments or look through your posts,there's a reason for it. I'm not trying to say that you make shit threads or anything,I'm just trying to tell you not to misinterpret what I say.
Yes I would say that when you start a thread about threads that have the same subject being posted multiple times and saying that the posters suddenly don't participate in mature discussion anymore it's attention seeking. But of course you're just trying to make a point...so I do understand your concern but as I said,if you don't like it don't read it. If all these things that you're talking about were corrected,you'd just be complaining about something else,perhaps about why everyone is so accurate with their spelling and why everything is so serious. That's how humans work,most of the time we want something and when we get it we start complaining even when we've achieved what we wanted in the first place.
And I didn't read the "read this" thread on the DT board either.
