to be honest i havent tried it out either i just got some new gear and ive been way to busy with that and i spent alot of today dreaming about slates drums and the 2.0 samples that r coming out haha that made my day, im praying those samples come with hats ! he only mentioned cymbals not sure if he meant hats rides along with that agh i hope he did i always have mega proble,s getting hats to sit right in a mix.

on the subject of slate 2.0 is anyone else obsessed with the doomsday drum kit ? i cant get enough of it and slate is always requesting new kits to replicate or whatever, could you imagine having a full sampled kit that sounds like this ? i think slate could do it ! im not sure how he chooses what kits to do or not but if its on requests im pritty sure a tone of people on this forum would request this kit.

there taken from the album, i managed to find different parts of the kicks in different places, its the combination of 4 samples per kick glued together to make the final kick but there all from the actual kick on that album and i thought the results were very close and decent/useable.

haha if that doesnt make sence! basically i found the attack of the kick on a song, then the middle of the kick then say another song the tail end of the kick and i carefully put these altogether to make these kicks !

anyways i often do this and get spot on or close results and as i said i think these r pritty close or will do in a mix.
dunno if you guys have tried this technique before but if you start mixing samples from different albums you get some incredible kicks ill upload the best 5 ive done later on.

most of the kicks i never got the chance or just plain couldnt be arsed finding a part of the songs where i could sample the (air) of the kick so alot of them are just the attack/mid range of the kicks but ive found you can usually mix (air) from any source with these and it does the job.
