Dragonforce for progpower?

is there any chance that a band like Dragonforce could play at Progpwer?

Highly doubt it.

Glen tries to bring in bands that either have never toured the US before, or have very little presence in the US. That being said, Dragonforce has toured the US several times (for example, its been in the Washington DC area three times this year!) and is quite popular. They are also now on a major record label.

Basically - Dragonforce is now mainstream. I think Glen likes to stick with lesser known bands to get them better known in the US.

Not that I don't like Dragonforce (I have all three of their CDs), but I think there are MANY other bands out there that could use a shot in the arm. Dragonforce is a success story. No need to give them more. Save it for other lesser known but very qualified and talented bands.

(Just my 2 1/2 cent opinion)

I think Dragonforce would be great....:loco:
I could see if I could outdrink Sam Totman....
But seriously they do play a decent brand of power metal. And I really have a hard time believing that because they played Ozzfest that somehow Progpower would be overrun by a bunch of Emo kids... Just ain't gonna happen.

Just like I said in the other topic where the whole 15 year old "scene" kids will take over the audience discussion came up. Sorry, I just don't see scene kids (or at least their parents) paying $110 for a 2 day concert to see a band they probably have already seen this year for less than $20.

That being said, I wouldn't mind them at PP. It wouldn't stop me from buying a ticket and I'd enjoy their set but I'd rather see a band that hasn't had 3 dif US tours in less than a year.

I love Dragonforce! Im not sayin that they are my number 1 choice for prog power since they have played in San Francisco 3 times this year but I wouldn't complain at all if they are booked. But theres no way it will happen anyways i don't think.
