Hey guys I have a question, when you resample a snare for example, do you compress before the drumagog/apptrigga instance or after? Because I've used the compression before and it feels it just compresses the sample itself not so much the hits, while if I compressed before it should even out the hits so that the sample should trigger more evenly. Apptrigga triggers the sample dynamically, I know drumagog does that too, it's a neat feature, but sometimes you can notice that too much, should I just compress it before them?

Compressing before drumagog will actually make it so that it's harder to trigger because you are lowering the peak volumes. You would want to use an expander if anything.

Yeah, usually I don't have to do anything to the trigger track, sometimes if the drummer has weak feet and tries to do some intricate or constant double-bass real fast, I'll use a transient plug to make the pops more defined. Stillwell's Transient Monster or BitterSweetII are free and work really well for this.
