Drum Mix Drums only

Hey everyone,

This is one of my bands songs. I am the drummer and these are the drums I wrote.

It's Superior Drummer Avatar Kit.

I sent kick to it's own track same with snare and toms, plus overheads/cymbals etc.

Kick is being replaced with Kick 10 but I kept the beauty snare from SD2 and just mixed the hell out of it to make it sound slate-ish. I want to know how I did on the mix and if anything is out of place. I know that when guitars and bass etc....are put in it will be completely different. But I want to know if it sounds thick and good on it's own.

Agree with Redline, more mids are needed. Humanization is also key. What's most important is how these drums will fit into a mix.

Okay, so I just took the highpass down a notch on the overheads to keep more mids in the bleed. I hightened the Mid scoop so it took less mids out of the toms, and added mids to the snare. Tell me if it's better, to me it's more full. Is there anything that is good? I am doing a trial mix, trying to find that fat sound.

The whole track is missing mids. The kick is REALLY mid scooped. hmmmm. Have you tried tape saturation on the track?
