Drum Options

If I wanted good drums on a track but had no kit and wanted to type out each hit. What are the software options available to me if I wish to type out the drum track?

What software is out there that will allow me to get good metal drums by typing them out (in a similar fashion to guitar pro)?

Oh, similar to GP? Nothing really man. Easiest way is to get a host program (I recommend Cubase personally, the drum editor > all other drum editors). Make your drums in GP and then export the MIDI. Import that MIDI into Cubase, apply a drum map and then route the MIDI track's output to something like EZDrummer, DFHS, Addictive Drums, etc.

That is what I do with programmed drums from GP. I have had people wanting to record their music and that's all they have, the GP file. So I get them to send me that and I perform the steps above. Pretty easy...
