Hey guys, I've been looking at some drum trigger systems. I have never used triggers before, but I have pretty extensive knowledge of drum programming and some sweet software for it.

Basically I'm looking at getting this- http://www.guitarcenter.com/Alesis-DM5-Module-with-TK-5-Acoustic-Triggers-769798-i1154724.gc

But using these triggers- http://www.guitarcenter.com/ddrum-Trigger-Kit-100710144-i1135223.gc

Anyone have any thoughts one these?
And would it be possible to trigger cymbals?
And would I need any additional software? I already have Kontakt and SSD 3.5
Thanks guys!

you don't need the drum module--just plug the triggers into pre's on your interface

ddrum triggers break. a lot. roland are more expensive but will last longer.

usually people record kick, snare, and toms as triggers and use real overheads, or you can program the overheads but as far as I'm aware there isn't a good method for triggering them
