Live kick drum sample triggering without computer?

Roland SPD-SX.
Solid bit of kit. I have the Left/Right as click and track, so Master out Right goes FOH, Roland kick trigger into trigger in 1/2 and route that out of the sub out left or right. Job done. Although you can't load in multi sampled kick sample the velocity mode is spot on.
Also you don't have to buy the rip off roland top hat and clamp, thomann do their own!

Look, all I can say is that it does work, first hand experience. I agree that ddrum triggers are shit, I highly recommend roland

I believe you. We just really haven't had the time to mess with it. We are limited to 2-3 practices a week and it really hurts us to sit around for 30 mins trying to tweak something like this instead of actually practicing. Our bassist brought over a different Alesis module, but after breaking 2 of the Redshot kick triggers, our drummer hasn't bought another.
