Am I the only one who thinks they sound ultra-sloppy and really need to be quantized and cut to a grid ... :u-huh:

--- fuckin' hideous! :Puke:

If you don't know it check it here:

Best thing is the comment "The drummer really spent time practicing" ... :D

i dunno i think the drumming is fine, they went for more traditional sounding fills on that song, plus i like the more natural vibe going on with theslight fluctuations in playing. Its still damn tight though. im annoyed at myself for having listened to that album a few times now and pretty enjoying it, mainly caus of colins work on it. Im one of them who goes out and gets a cd caus of the guy whos mixed it!

Yep I almost got everything Andy Has mixed. I probably could have some nice gear if i didn't buy so many dam Cd's. I just feel i need to listen to the best quality and I just can't stand trying to reference my mixes with a shitty ass mp3.

I never liked BFMV but the drumming sounds fine to my ears. It's pushing which is cooler than usual over quantized drums... Or maybe I need my ears to be checked... Do I?:zombie:

Drumming sounds fine to me. Not sure what you're hearing. Productions great, songs are pretty good, the vocals could be worse. I think it's a pretty good CD.

Just noticed how that breakdown at the end seems like an afterthought. Seems like pandering to throw a breakdown + screaming in there at the very end. Whatever.

Easy... Emo... Beurrrkkk

I never really checked them out before. Was better like that.

I dunno how Colin had the courage to take them and their music.
He must be a real pro.

Ho my god, what can I do when autotune is not there for me :

Oh go I can take it anymore.
AHAHAH the guitar solos are jokes to me.

LMAO :D

Ok, it might be abit offbeat, but if you overquantize something it ends up sounding like shit.
Nothing is perfect, thats why tubes sound good, and thats why you should quantize something to much.
Listen to Pantera, i think they have one of the most awesome mixes i have heard, yet you can hear alot of offbeat stuff going on, but that is what makes it "swing".

Ehm, guys ... I was being sarcastic!!!

I have rarely ever heard drums that were as sterile and cut to a grid than those on this song. *Especially* the fills. Sounds like a programming job done by a n00b ...

Ha ha I read this thread yesterday and thought, "Am I the only one who thinks this sounds a bit TOO good?" !

Sounds a bit like a cut n paste drum loops job to my ears. Quantized to HELL.

What bugs me is the somewhat dull THRASH beat in the verses/some chorus parts with the high hat only being played on the bass drum hits - kinda like:

Hi-Hats n Kick Drum together 1st then alternating with the Snare on its own.

If that makes sense?:goggly:

Doesn't sound intense enough. Prefer the Lombardo thrash rhythms, but you gotta be really good to play them that way!

Guitars do sound a bit processed but apart from that though I quite like the song. Don't mean to be harsh to the band though, they are good at what they do!

Yeh that thrash is a beat doesn't sound right, I dont get why if you cant keep up the stamina, put the hi hats on the same beat as the snare, even john tempesta seems to do that loads on 'first strike..' or at least is heavily accenting those beats
