yes, ex nihilo didn't stand the test of time for me. it's a rather good song and a nice attempt at an instrumental, fitting perfectly in the damage done schedule, but... i could never take another song out instead of that one. :s

I actually like Ex Nihilo pretty much - it is a bit long for an instrumental and really doesn't fit well as an album-closer, but it has some damn nice guitar-parts.

My choice was between Exposure, Day to End and Dissolution Factor Red, all of which are rather weak songs IMHO. I went with DFR in the end.
