Duncan Blackout's

Any of you guys know a place where I can order them on line and can ship to greece??
I can't find them on thomann or musicstore.de or any other store.... that's weird.

I have a schecter C7 blackjack and I was thinking about EMGs but I wasn't too excited about having to re-route the guitar to fit them. Maybe I'll give a try to these pick ups...

Anyone want to post clips?

www.myspace.com/hecatomy

the 2nd song on there was recorded with my blackout-equipped jackson; for comparison purposes, the 1st track is my ESP H-200 with the stock SD passives

edit: thought it might also we worth mentioning that the guitars were both recorded thru a DI, with amplitube v.1 slapped on the tracks - same settings for both songs.

doing a search at MF.com, there's no sight of the blackout 7's...which would lead me to believe that they're not available yet to the general public. i could be wrong, though.

I believe those are the 6 string version... I need the 7 string phase I version and I can't seem to find them anywhere... Is this because they're new or maybe not selling very good?...

oh shit sorry. i guess you could contact these guys and see what they say

I think the 7 string versions are quite new?
Also from what i've seen, people have been quite slow to pick up on the Blackouts generally, and so they have been going for quite cheap. i.e. easily undercutting EMGs.

Thanks...I already checked their site and they don't have them. I prefer to order them myself than have them order them...

I wasn't very impressed with the Blackouts that my friend got in his custom shop ESP. They sounded warmer and more like passives to me. Also WAY too high of output, like a Dimebucker or worse. Not really my bag. Seems like a fad and I am sticking with EMG.

+1, to an extent. I really do prefer the tone of EMG's for the most part. Blackouts are hotter and way warmer/vibier, which makes them not *quite* as clear/defined/articulate. The Neck pickup in the bridge position sounds way better than the Bridge in the bridge, though.

That said, they're the only company that offers active 7 string pickups that aren't ridiculously housed.

I got a set of Blackouts in a Edwards Les paul.

I agree with Kazrog, but I like passive pickups, so I like the Blackouts.
They sound warmer and more passive than EMG, but that's something I like about the Blackouts.
