E bow

I know opeth used it heavily on Blackwater Park but they also used it in 2 songs on still life, this thing is new to me so do you know what songs it is used in??? has anyone used this ebow thingy?

Tryed one at my local shop ,, couldn't fucking stand it ,, makes me feel really awkward but one of my buddy's can't go with out it so I don't know ,,,,, it sounds cool though hey? I might buy one for something to do tomorow and tell you about ,, or maybe not

I've never tried one but I believe it basically makes the string vibrate, in other words, it gives you infinite sustain. It's easy to figure out which songs it's used on. Listen for those high notes in the background that never seem to stop, Bleak, for example. Opeth ought to check into getting sustainer-equipped guitars. Guitars with a sustainer in them will basically do the same thing as an E-bow, but at a simple flick of the switch.
