Re: Purgatory Afterglow, what's going on in the production? The guitar tone is extremely thin (did he multi-track anything here) and am I right in thinking that bass is distorted?

Excellent album, probably my fave EoS.

Over their entire catalog, I don't see how anyone could POSSIBLY say EoS > Opeth; just does not compute.

But Purgatory Afterglow just might be my favorite album by either band.

Opeth hasn't really stood the test of time with me so well. On the other hand, Crimson has to be in my top 10 albums of all time.
