i'm trying to figure out why you're comparing these two bands really.

One of them tries to be epic and writes 20 minute riff salads

The other is epic and writes a (mostly) effortlessly flowing 40 minute song

Both are "melodic" and "Swedish" and "death metal"

Or in a nutshell: Both are prog-death bands with clean/rough vocals. Fans of one should like the other. etc.
