I'm almost prepared to start recording my instrumental EP, and I'm going to heavily edit the guitars & bass, I just wanted to know if my test edited DI sounds any good...

This is just a short clip I made, just palm muting the low B string on my 7 string, my songs are going to be much more furious :heh:

here it is in a rough mix - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3163522/Edited guitar sample.mp3

Remember, that version has no bass and its only one track of guitar

And here the DI is for the sample - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3163522/Edited guitar sample - DI track.wav

I was in a rush when I edited this, so its a bit sloppy, but is it sounding any good? And if anyone has any guide son the best way to edit things note by note that would be very good! I kind of know how to, but If i'm doing something wrong, I'd rather find out now than after i've edited my EP

Use new strings and fucken tune that thing
Doesn't sound very edited to me (still sloppy, although mono guitar) but the second half of the sample made me wat o_O

:lol: I was messing around with this, and the guitar still has its stock strings on, they will get changed soon :D

If you want it super edited, I can hear bits where your hand comes on and off the neck/strings so remove all zee silences!

:D Thats what I've been working on doing today, I want to do something Fear Factory style, super tight machine gun riffs haha, so I'm going to have to start editing even tighter.
