Effects for that Guitar Tone

Hey,

I've been looking to upgrade my GSP2101 with either a Boss GT8 or a Zoom G9.2 tt or a Line 6 POD XT Live, for recording and live using it in conjunction with me 5150 head.

Do you guys have any recommendations?

I play metal all styles.

I've tested a PODxt in a 5150 fx return. I can recommend that. Just update it with the model packs.

It depends on what effects you plan to use.

Live I'll be using all the usual stuff, Phaser, Chorus, Delay and Wah. Recording I'll be using cabinet and amp modelling patchs.

Doe's anyone have any opions or working experience with the other two boards.

Also what does, Just update it with the model packs, mean?

GT8 is great for fx and IMO more transparent in fx only situations than any pod. On another note, please stop using this font.
