Hey guys, currently quantising for an EP I'm working on. Interested in everybody's workflow for this, and whether you use EA or BD, positive/negative experiences with both etc...

Currently doing it with EA, Marshy showed me his method of BD but I couldn't get much success out of it.

BD for drums, EA for mono sources. EA destroys phase coherency in multi-mic'd signals.

USE SEARCH... this has been discussed like 10000x times.

Group the tracks (Ctrl+g) if you are on PT8 or below you need MusicproductionToolkit if you want to use BD on multiple tracks.

Got it, I'm on 8. Hence why grouping is not working.

Just update to 9 or 10. They are a great improvement. You get multi BD, delay compensation, expanded import session data and such really useful tools.

all of the above suggestions + Always by hand using beat detective to split transients. BUT you can sometimes buy the bare licence off ebay that will allow multi-track beat detective and 1 or 2 other things from that music production toolkit. I did it years ago when I was on 8 without having to buy the full thing.
