I was wondering if this was a good idea as an alternative to tracking drums in an apartment and if its plausible how could it be accomplished cheaply!

I've been thinking about instead of sending the signal from the pads to the drum brain to send the signal from the pads to individual channels on my pro fire 2626

Electric kits usually have a midi-out on the drumbrain somewhere. Connect that to the midi-in on your 2626, and you can trigger any drumsoftware on your computer from the kit directly. Doing this with Superior drums sounds a LOT better than the average drumbrain, that's for sure. It's not a perfect alternative for recording a real kit -especially the cymbals never really satisfy me- but with some tweaking, it is very usable imo.

Alright sweet
I was just making sure what I was hoping for was possible
and maybe routing everything correctly to drumagog out the kick snare and toms and use kontact player on the cymbals
