EMG 60 in Neck?

Has anyone tried an EMG 60 in the neck? How does it compare to the 85 in the neck?

It seems a little different. The 85 seemed bassier than the 60, to me.

I really like it, very cutting in a good way, which IMO the neck position needs cuz of its inherent bassiness (hence why I HATE the 85 in that position) - the real test is whether I like it more than an 81 in the neck, I'm gonna do a comparison pretty soon.

Im not a fan of 81 in neck but I do like the 60, quite smooth and not too cloudy and bassy. Sounds good IMO!

ESP's seem to put 60's in the neck for their les pauls (eclipse), and 81's for the super strats etc, I guess it compliments the guitar's sound better.

I had the 85 in the neck. too bassy. bought the 60 to try it out. Loved it.
great match for the neck. also tried in the bridge and got good results.

Thanks for the comments, guys. The guitar I'm considering this for is already a thick sounding guitar, so yeah, I think the 85 might be too bassy.
