Ok so I've heard about this solderless setup a few times and found some info on EMG's site announcing it and they are slowly incorporating it into everything. Does anybody know who the biggest EMG dealer is online? Does anyone know if/where you can buy the components for the system?

Any pickups can be solderless, just use these for the hookups:

From the EMG 81X

"Package Includes: EMG's exclusive Solderless Install System (Patent pending); split shaft volume/active tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, screws & springs."

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thank you LR. I have been thinking about getting an 85X actually for the bridge of my Explorer. I think I just found the BEST solution. :headbang:

Is it possible for me to have wired a guitar with EMGs incorrectly, so that its out of phase with a bass guitar?

Does that even make sense or possible?

Hmm, I really don't think so, I have never heard of anything like that before. It *may* be possible, have you tried e-mailing EMG about this yet? They are the experts, but again I've not ever heard of that issue before.

Allright.I got stubborn last night and email several official emg distributors.

only ONE replied and here is what he said:

''Hi

Thanks for your enquiry.

I have checked with the distributor and it looks like these spares will
probably not be available until the new year.

Warmest regards''

Oh well.I can wait a bit longer i guess:saint:
