Emotional Wasteland

Well, now I've got Ever Since coming in the mail.

You know, I really thought Unicorn was pretty silly at first, even more than Nightingale.

But of course, now I have all the Nightingale cds (two signed by Dan), and will now have both Unicorn cds. (Because, of course, they are all pretty much freakin' awesome.)

Added to the Moontower CD and three Edge of Sanity cds, that pretty much makes me a top ranking fanboy. Well, at least middle ranking...

HIGH FIVE!!!

So, I've been listening to these demos lately...

After Before is definitely my favorite. "The Likes of No One" is my jam. If I could cover this song correctly, I would.

Yeah, great choice. I also often thought about covering an Unicorn tune, but I have so much respect for the songs... and they are really not easy to figure out.
And if now someone comes up saying they are easy, I force him to cover a song first. :)

for some unknown reason I´ve had the chorus to "Waterfall" in a nonstop loop in my head all day. I haven´t heard that song in ages. It´s a cool song, but a little bit out of place on EW and the way it should be presented would fit much better for Second Sky...maybe on the fifth album ;)

It seems alot of the online reviews for Emotional Wasteland rag on Waterfall as being the weakest link...

I think that one is a freaking rocker, and the chorus is definitely "stuck in head" worthy.

This morning I figured out the lead at the end and some of the guitar parts. The bassline is pretty straightforward. The bitch will obviously be the singing but I think I can figure most of the synth out by cheating with MIDI.

(talking about The Likes of No One here...)

hmm... I bought myself and a friend copies of both Unicorn albums, though I some years ago bought them on CD-R from Dan, but it's not really the same as the real thing! :)

Hey,
good choice. I don't think the melodies are the problem, but some harmony stuff from the keyboard can be tricky. Not saying it's impossible though. :)
Can I sing? :loco:

Hello forum!

So how do I get my hands on this gem nowadays? It seems to be out of stock both at Laser's Edge and the label mentioned in the FAQ doesn't seem to have it in their catalouges.
