Not sure if any of you guys have sirius radio but Ian Christe does a Heavy MEtal history show every week, and tommorow nights show is going to focus on Scandinavian Black Metal and the guys from Emperor (minus Sammoth I am assuming becasue of the deal with him not being able to get in the country) are going to be on the show doing an interview and discussing Black Metal in general.

Thought you guys may be interested in that.

I have no idea what is going to be said. It is a live show. What Ian normally does is play a bunch of songs based on what genre or period that nights show is focusing on, and then gives you some history then plays a bunch more songs. I assume tommorows show will be similar but with the added Emperor Interview. So there will be lots of Black Metal and some history. I am sure that the regulars of this forum will learn nothing new as most(many) of you guys seem to know your music, but the interveiw may be interesting.

Guess I'll have something to listen to while I'm working today.

I'm assuming you're speaking about Bloody Roots. That show is recorded, then edited for broadcast at a later date. Kind of sucks that they don't do it live, but I don't know if their phone system can meet up with the demands of so many people calling.

The show will be rebroadcast on Fri., July 21st @ 3 pm ET & Sun., July 23rd @ Noon ET.

If you can, you can go to your local electronics store that has Sirius satellite units on display and tune in to channel 27 to hear it.

Is it possible for anyone here to record the broadcast and host it for all of us who don't have Sirius?

I would, but my Mp3 recorder took a crap on me about 3 weeks ago. Anyone else? I'll see what I can do with my other Mp3 player, but the sound quality will be shite.

Synopsis: The show was recorded after the first date that Emperor played on the east coast. They do go into some stuff like the early days of Emperor, the arrests and convictions of the early days, Samoth's non-appearance thanks to U.S. Customs, how they plan to cope with his absence for the shows and the non-future of Emperor.

By the way, the show only sounds like it was recorded live. Someone really needs to execute some editing on Mr. Christie's interviews or have someone like Jose (also at Hard Attack) do the interviewing for recording. I realize that Ian may be a fanboy (I know I can be, too), but they need someone who won't be stammering over every fifth letter of a word to do these interviews or to do some editing.
