Yeah, my Mom just got a new laptop with it, and being her semi-resident IT, I got roped into setting it up for her. I dunno, it's prettier, but there's so many annoying built-in security things, and it seems like they were redundantly overlapping with each other and with the basic anti-spyware stuff I downloaded, causing all sorts of error messages. AND, it asks you for approval when you try to open ANYTHING
If your car cost $1000 more than another car that was identical in every way but that yours came crammed from top to bottom with packing peanuts because driving is dangerous and people need to be saved from themselves, you'd be highly unlikely to justify anything like that. Vista is no different.
