let us know what you think sculpted cold......im debating whether to buy it....i have always had respect for mudvayne...because they rock!

I respected Mudvayne because I think that they are probably the only nu metal band with good talent mostly because of their great bassist and drummer. This new album has let me down tremendously though. They dont utilize ryknow like thye did on LD50 at all and the songs are plain boring and weak. I recommend you not to buy it. Waste of money.

Stick to the tried and true european death metal scene for now on lol. The last chance on my giving a nu metal band the beneift of the doubt and it backfired.

sounds like a good plan! :)

I read some reviews that their new album isn't that good. I heard that Not Falling song from that album but I didn't like it as much as their other songs.

Never liked them, never will. And I thought all of their painted blue and red faces were ridiculous. The lady bug looking guy was kind of funny the first time I seen him the video for Dig though. As for the new album being terrible, it's not surprising.

That's really cool to see so many metalheads who actually have/had some respect for MuDvAyNe. Tis great. Yeah, the new album objectively isn't as good as LD50, of course not, ,LD50 is an amazing peice of work, but if End.. is a 'sophomore slump' then in my opinion it's a good one. i really really really like this album, ive listened to it through at least 30 times and im liking it more with each listen. its got a lot going for it really. its more diverse than ld50, ,it might not sound it at first, but it is. there's a lot more heavy tracks, ,way heavier than anything on ld50, but at the same time the whole albums got a very mellow overall feel, and its a mellow i think's done really well, ,because it's a continuation of the emotion on ld50, ,just more 'spacey' to fit with the new image. the lyrics are much more mature also, less swearing and more visual imagery, which is very nice. possibly not quite as topical as ld50, although still very much so, i think it's on a par with, if not better than ld50 as far as 'meaning' goes. there's stuff on End... that's a lot closer to 'real' metal than anything else very mainstream, loads of double bass, some nice chuggy chuggy bits, and even some thrashy guitaring going on in a couple of the tracks. I dunno, yeah, objectively it's not as accomplishedd in terms of songwriting as ld50, but i definately like it as much as that first masterpeice.

soerry, really screwy keyboard. and man, they should have had 'Goodbye' and 'On The Move' on the album, ESPECIALLY 'On The Move', that is one of my favourite mudvayne tracks ever! It's really fast and heavy, ,nice and rhythmic. The keyboard intrto to 'Goodbye' is extremely dubious, but it pans-out effectively into a very good song I think. Yeah, the dvd is pretty good. Matt's a big Emperor fan! Which is cool, though he's also into electronica and stuff like that.

Yeah Matt's the drummer. He's also one of those 'hyper-intelligent-but-can't-express-it-without-mumbling-or-sounding-arrogant' sort of people. He reminds me of me, except I can't play drums. =(

Ya Matt reminds me of myself too lol. Well, after listening to the cd about 50 times, it is getting better. More diverse than LD50 anyway and not as nu-metalish in terms. Gurg is the weak point in the band imo, but he has improved on this album a lil. The first 3 tracks are really good. World so Cold is one of there best songs although the most soft to come out. And #12 kicks some ass as well. I guess it took me some time to get used to it. I have the bonus dvd but still havent seen it or heard the other songs.

mudvayne overall doesnt do much for me...they have better lyrics than most nu metal bands though which is always a plus...and their bassist is fucking amazing...but overall it doesnt do much for me...i heard their new stuff sucks ass...i could only listen to a few songs by them...."Nothing to Gein" is an awesome song...and "Under My Skin"...but thats all...

The new album is very strange really. It's both heavier and mellower, and it takes some listening to appreciate, but I think the 'in-your-face' aggression and distinctly unique songwriting of L.D. 50 (in comparison to the rest of nu-metal) has left a lot of fans and metalheads kind of in a rut as to what to think of End...., other than the quick assertion that it sucks, which I don't think is fair. The main thing it's got going for it is it's diversity, and the drumming is also quite noticably more emphasized, though I think the whole band has upped the musicianship since L.D. 50, even if it's not evident given the somewhat more conventional songwriting.
