Have you ever played the blackmore?
If yes, how would you compare it to the e530?
Some people say they're pretty similar...

Cheers! I read, that the e530 is based on the Blackmore. I had the Blackmore, too, and they sound quite similar, at least, if you combine the 530 with an Engl poweramp.

SM57 sounded the best.

I dig the miced version. It has an awesome "angry" voicing. I should consider it as another amp for practice..Too bad, that the internal poweramp seems to have only a 4ohm output.

You can connect 4,8 or 16 Ohm Cabs. A lot of the "angry" voicing comes from the Engl XXL cab. but it works with other cabs as well.
