Hi guys,

I was just playing around with recording a decent tone of my rig, and here is what i came up with.

This first clip is completly raw - no eg/comp on the guitars:
Raw guitars

And this one is the same - just with a little eq.
Eq guitars

What do you think - are these raw/equ'ed tracks any good? (Havent really heard that many raw tracks - so what do i know:erk: )

btw:
There are two guitars panned 100L and 100R - guitars are a schecter C7 through a TS9 into Engl e530 + Mesa 2:90 + Mesa rectifier 4x12 cab- Recorded with a stock SM57 - slightly angled an up to the grill.

Oh yeah... don't mind the drums - just to have something to play with.

Sounds great...Have you ever played with that preamp in a band setting?? I thought mine had a problem cutting the mix and sold it. I regret it though, since I didn't fuck around more with different cabs and such.

Thanks. I use it in the band as it is my main rig - i've never had any problem in cutting through - just have to remember to pull up the mids.

I've just started using the TS-9, so no - but I find it good at recording, but i'll have to see if its any good live.

The pickup was a EMG 707.
