ENGL savage 60 watt head?

the 60 Watt Savage is a good amp, but more for Rock Tones, very hard to get a really good Metalsound out of it that you will get with a 5150 or Savage 120.
The Fireball isn't based on it, the fireball has less options, 2 channels, only on eq and so on.
If you want to play metal (like almost everybody in this forum) I wouldn't go with the Savage 60. The Fireball, Savage 120(damn, I love that thing) or Powerball or Invader is way better for that sound.

have you ever played through a savage?
just for rock tones? are you fucking joking? are you dizzy?
if that is your honest opinion then go try a savage because you obviously have never played through one...
they are uber high gain, in fact probably the same amount as the 6505
it is also super tight and VERY meaty.... one of THE MOST BRUTAL SOUNDING amps out there it absolutely owns a peavey 6505 hands down. I tried a savge 60 more similar to the blackmore than the savage but, the blackmore sound pretty close to a savage. trust me. the blackmore is also hands down one of the most brutal amps out there and is also super tight and meaty and the blackmore also totally destroys the 6505. get the savage 60 you will never regret it or look back.
