Enslaved fans?

So who here likes Enslaved? I personally think they are amazing. I read somewhere they were described as "if Voivod played Black Metal".

Enslaved rule. I have all their stuff. their demo stuff is interesting, it's almost upbeat. what i've heard of the newone rules. and monumension was unbelievably good.

Though both have kind of Pink Floydish influences, I wouldn't go as far as to call them Voivod of black metal.

The first track of Monumension is really excellent, too bad the rest of the album doesn't really live up to it though it is good too.

The song "The Voices" has one of the best guitar riffs i've ever heard...

Now there's an original band. I like all of Enslaved's stuff, from the early demo work to the amazing psychedelic Black Metal of "Monumension". I have already pre-ordered the new opus, as it's one of my most anticipated releases of 2003.

Mardraum is the only album that has those "If Voivod played extreme metal" style riffs. Very Nothingface like, but not totally.

Enslaved is awesome though.

Damn it these guys really do rock! I´m listening to Below the lights now and I think it´s a fantastic peice of art. The few song I´ve heard of Monumensium are also very, very good. And to think I´ve had Eld lying around for years and never was I smart enough to even listen to it, well I can at least look forward to some good music
