Wow, just wow.
For someone who is about to tour with BG, you should probably cease your bagging on Iced Earth.
Sure, your rant seems to be directed at Barlow, but its not like the dude told you to go fuck off or something.
People have off days, and don't want to be bothered.
As a human being, you should have seen such signs, and let it be.
Haven't you ever had a bad day at work, and didn't want to be bothered?
Furthermore, you said you approached him in Downtown Disney.
That is not the same grounds as seeing him at a club.
He was on his own time.
Finally, it is EXTREMELY uncool that you are sharing some obvious personal business information regarding Matt Barlow, and his approach to being in Iced Earth.
That information was obviously NOT meant to be public.
Yes, it's a fact that for MANY musicians, being in a band is a job.
Seriously, if you are SUCH a big ICED EARTH fan, you would know Barlow initially left because his heart wasn't 100% in it.
To try and call him out as being in it for the money then is quite absurd.
Sorry if I am coming down too hard on you, but once you revealed some obvious personal information Barlow shared with you, you left me no choice but to respond, as I think that was extremely crappy.
You are making it seem like just because in 2008 you were a big IE fan, he owes it to you to stroke you or want to be on your band's disc, because you offered him an absurd amout of money????
Ok, I am done. I don't know you from Adam, and I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are a good dude, and you are just blowing some steam about a personal bad experience, but if you go re-read your posts, I think you will see how people are not going to take this too lightly.

-What does this have anything to do with my post? Im pretty sure since then every one has come to the conclusion that most of them (mostly JS) are pretty self centered and dick like. Its not like im the first horn to blow here.

-attitude pretty much did, nor do i expect anyone to believe me.

- Yes, i have. But even in those bad days I have talked to people that are still in the end spending money to have work done.

It is part of my job, no matter how shitty the day to always keep that million dollar smile on. I have not and will not ever be a dick like that. sorry dude to each his own.

-Considering that about a Dozen other random people overheard that conversation i would hardly say that is private. period. there were even other posts about this on other forums shortly after. Give me some credit dude, I'm not that stupid.

-So why would he come back if his heart wasnt in it. i guess there was a glimmer of hope on my side thinking that the cop thing just wasnt for him either. Nor was i calling him out like that. If your in it for the money, fine. I can give you a list of people that i know do it for money and they still are cool with their fans. I have no problem with that like i stated. but when you make it apparently obvious to your fans then that crosses the line. if your getting paid you need to at least suck it up and act like your enjoying yourself for a half hour. I think its pretty dumb on his part thinking that he could just "walk around" after a packed house in complete broad nightlight and expect not to be noticed? It looked as if he were wanting people to come up to him.

-Sorry dude people on here share their opinions several times worse than i do every now and then. no one on here was there, no one aside from those other fans physically saw and heard what i heard. so i dont expect people to know where im coming from. Just felt like i could vent a bit. I paid for a ticket. I paid for shirts and other merch. I have the right to be a bit pissed off. Young kids looking up to these people and then they turn out like this. dude i was barely 20 then... that really sucked. If its the one time to make an impression to a new gen, then i think there was an epic fail here.

-NO, that was a fanboy move thinking how awesomethat would have been. Jim told us what a nice guy he is and I was really looking foward to having a quick decent conversation with him, coming from someone that is basically a brother. asking him for pointers, how did you do this, how did you do that. I honeslty didnt really think he was going to do it anyways. Nor does that have any effect on how I took the situation afterwards. Im sure if somehow we could get ahold of the other fans their they would have said the same thing that i did. I know that for a fact because i talked to those people on the way back to the car.

-I dont really care how people take it. other people have no problem voicing their stuff so why not me. this is a subject that hit pretty close to home. Its my opinion on how that situation was. Just though i would share because i could have paid for a smile and a good attitude via VIP which, at the time, no matter how much it was, would have been worth it for me.
I did learn something from that though, to never piss off a fan like myself or anyone that was around that night. all of those people left to home ticked off and angry. If we EVER get anywhere close to that, I will never do that. If im sick ill stay behind the doors. if a fan weesles his way in ill just be like dude im sick and want to go to bed, appologize and be on my way. I think we can all agree that that is the best way to handle that situation.
