Epicloud

the bonus disc, Epiclouder, is awesome! i think i prefer it to the actual album. it's all demos, but devin's production is usually so involved that the demos barely even sound like demos. the songs are a lot more stripped back and intimate-sounding, for the most part, but there are a few really heavy ones that remind me of Strapping. weirdly there are two awesome country songs, too. if you can, check it out!

Just got it. I definitely don't prefer it to the album, but some of the songs are good. One song in particular, Happy Birthday, is spectacular! If he made it into a proper song it could be the best on the album.

replace "ocean machine" with "star wars" and you'll understand my opinion on this issue ;)

Understandable but having heard Life live with Anneke, I don't object to re-working an odd track here and there. Funeral unplugged was real nice, though nothing on the original.

Great album, maybe not his catchiest (Addicted) but I respect his intentions ("The whole point was to make an epic and confident statement about emotions that are generally viewed as inappropriate for heavy music") and Epiclouder is better than expected.
Re-working Pendulum's The Island was a nice touch,

Awesome mash-up:
