ugh i got sick of all the maths and physics when i was doing audio technology mixed with acoustics and psycho acoustics too many numbers and equations and not enough mixing and actually messing around with sound!
Then don't read this. Based on my experience with 'audio technology' you probably had it taught wrong anyway, so I don't blame you for not having interest...

naa the people actually teaching it were all professional sound engineers, not necessarily mixers etc. . alot of it was interesting, but it was not my scene. It was one of the most recognised places to study such a degree in the north of the UK
Okay, I'm going to start working on the second part very shortly (had a bit of a busy weekend that I wasn't expecting)... what else would you guys like to see covered?

before i went to uni the only other decent place for that type of degree (all the maths and physics and boredom) was huddersfield. The one at salford is acredited by many of the top recognised recording engineers boards

Yeah, I'll be going into specifics of EQ types somewhere in there, what I did with highpass and lowpass stuff was pretty backwards and odd (the kind of approach that makes shell scripting simple and everything else evil) but I will be going more into that sort of thing. It really is just adding and subtracting ranges of frequencies, but there's a lot of detail that can be covered.
